In order to take initiative and tackle any boredom with monotonous tasks, we took up an opportunity we were given to paint a mural in one of the Sunday school rooms of the church. Staci and myself are both really into art, so there is no doubt that we jumped at the opportunity.
Before the trip, Ellen and I got together in Arizona when I was working in Tucson on a mission trip. I (along with some awesome Grove City students) painted a super cute mural with flowers, tall grass, huge butterflies and a giant tree that went onto the roof. Ellen loved it so much that she really encouraged us to do something similar.
We decided to make something based off the Psalm/Song "All Creatures of our God and King". As you can see, we had a ton of fun creating something big and crazy for the kids. We even included some mountains since we have the blessing of looking out to see the Kathmandu valley everyday.
